I have lived at Lake Cove since this winter and after being here less than a year, I can guarantee I will NOT renew my lease and greatly regret moving in at all. At first, it seemed like a decent enough place, and the price seemed on the low end for what I was getting. I wanted somewhere safe and clean to live. I thought it was pretty nice. We have a lake view apartment. That was before the summer rolled around and I realized this place is just teeming with junkies and people who let their children run wild. People walk around yelling at each other, cars booming their ill-chosen music at all hours, people arguing over parking spaces and other assorted minutea, etc. Little kids who shouldn't be out alone ride their bikes in front of cars, throw ROCKS at cars, and just run around alone causing trouble. As for maintenance and quality of construction - Our bathroom floor was replaced a few months after we moved in - the tiles came up and revealed a HOLE in the floor. They did come in and replace the floor but it took over two weeks to actually get fixed. The final straw was a leak in the bathroom which caused our ceiling to literally fall in. Two weeks later, there is still a huge hole in the ceiling which is allowing the mold that runs rampant in the walls to spread even further - our home smells likea moldy sock! I have been calling the office daily to come fix it, but they always have one excuse or another and have yet to do ANYTHING to resolve the situation. When they do fix it, based on what they have told me, they are really just going to paint over it and not address the mold issues at all. The parking is so bad my boyfriend and I finally caved after three months and now pay 60 extra dollars a month - 40 for a garage and 20 for a under-ramp space. A tree blew down in a storm two weeks ago and the trunk and other assorted branches are STILL in the front yard of our building. The staff is only friendly until you sign the lease. The cops are always here for one reason or another. There is only one laundry machine on each floor and no matter how lightly we load it, we always have to run the dryer twice to get our clothes actually dry. This adds up to 3.75 per load! Beware these apartments! You can get something better and it would be worth it to pay a little more.

I live at Pearlwood and we have to run our clothes twice through the dryer also...but that only adds up to 2 bucks for 2 runs :P. 1 dollar to wash, 1 for 1 dry cycle..booya
