Highland Hills

I'm living in Highland Hills right now, and I hate it. The first day I was living here, the drain was very slow, my roommate and I went to the office, who treated us very rudely, stated that since we had long hair, that's why the drain was clogged and to go to walmart and buy a drain net. We had only been there one day! And had only taken one shower each! After they got done laughing at us for wanting to put in a maintenance report, they did, but the drain problem never got fixed. Within a month of living there, the walls became incredibly moldy, and we again placed maintennance report, to not get it fixed until march, when they finally came and fixed it. We were informed that we should have filed a report as soon as the situation occurred. We told them, that we DID in JULY, but that fell on deaf ears. Another problem that Highland has is just walking into your apartment. In august of last summer, they replaced our door, without letting us know before hand. We woke up the next morning with the door gone, and the workers on their break. They left the door wide open and unwatched. We had been asleep, and with that door gone, any person could have come in and stolen our tv, and other equipment. The pool is another situation, they don't have enough security on it, there are some children that are not part of the highland community come swim, and urinate in the water on a daily basis. I have seen them do it, and no matter how much I mention it, the staff doesn't seem to do much about it. The noise factor is also a problem, the noise from upstairs was unbearable, constant bass guitar. We could also hear the next door neighbors very well, if one of us was in the bathroom we could hear the neighbors in their bathroom as well, the apartments are not very soundproof. Parking is not very good either, as everyone's guests seem to park in all the spaces. It's ok if you want to live close to campus and pay an outrageious price to do so, but that's about the only thing.
