Highland Hills

I lived in highland hills this last year and I was horrified at it. The apartment I lived in had just been "remodeled"...meaning it got a new paint job, doors, cupboards, etc...BUT the walls were left alone with the exception of paint. It made for a very cold winter and VERY high heating bills. The motor for the furnace of the apartment was louder than a harley for months before it got replaced and when it was finally replaced I got an attitude from the maintainence person. The staff makes many unneeded trips into the apartments..one time they came into my apartment...shortly after I had moved there...to check for rust! As some others have commented, I too could hear my neighbors in the bathroom and I could also hear any time the people living above me would even just walk from one place to the other in their apartment. As for the parking situation.....it was less than desirable...from where I lived, you had to walk darn near a block just to get to your car, the walkways were never shoveled or salted, the parking lot was only plowed once in a great while and was a very big inconvenience for residents....they usually gave a days notice, not much more than that. The parking lots are also VERY poorly lit and unsafe as well as walkways inbetween apartment buildings. As for my deposit...my roomate got her full deposit back weeks ago.....and I am still waiting for mine, I've had to call (with no replies) about it...do not live there....overpriced and horribly maintained.
