Highland Hills

My previous rating gave a generally adequate view of Highland Hills. However, my opinions have changed the longer I live here. I cannot wait for the chance to get out when my next lease ends. In fact, we're trying to find a sub-leaser for next summer to get away from here.

Basically, I find the management to try and do everything they can to scrounge your money. They make it obvious they don't care about their tenants.

Parking is not fun. There are a lack of spots, and with their random parking lot sweeps and lack of information, it's easy to get "towed." I use that term lightly, because they moved my car about 30 feet and charged me $50.00 for it, even though they never informed me or other tenants the opposite lot would be swept that day.

When maintenance finally comes in to fix something, they do a less than desirable job on the fix-up. They also tend to make you feel as though it is your own fault that a piece of their cheap equipment broke. Tenants should not have to feel berated.

The on-site laundry facilities are ridiculous. They charge too much for washing machines and dryers that don't even do the job right. I've put small loads of laundry in the dryer that come out soaking wet after the full time in the machine.

I'm not going to even get started on the rent price increase.

To say the least, it is disappointing how little the management cares for their tenants. Even going in to speak to them at the office, you will probably feel like you're wasting their time. Their only focus is expanding the place to make even more money. Greed should never overtake their dedication to help the people who pay them.
