This place is terrible. it looked nice on first inspection but living there was hell. The place has a very old heating n coolin system which would cause the ceilings to leak where the radiator was in the apartment above. I lived there for a little over a year and n that time we had three different managers all who did nothing about the water pouring from my ceiling. ruined my couch. finally had to call the city and report them so they came in and cut holes n the ceiling and wrapped MY towels around the leaking pipes and left it like that for a month! the day before the inspector was to show again the owner had someone bust into my apartment without warning so that they could quick patch the ceiling which was still leaking! she was very rude and even had the nerve to yell at me for reporting her. not to mention that during the summer i had to keep my windows closed cause wasps would gather between the screen and the window and even with the window closed would still get into my apartment. I had to buy an electic heater during the fall cause the heat isnt turned on till late october if you're lucky and was extreamly warm during the summer cause the air wouldnt be turned on till well into june. And to top it all off i paid an extra 50 dollars a month for a place to park n the garage but was assured that i could park outside any time i wanted because there isnt any assigned parking outside but when i happened to park outside when i was just running in for a half hour or something quick i was yelled at by managment n told i cant park outside. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. DO NOT RENT!

If you think that all of these reviews were written by one person you're obviously delusional or simply trying to cover up somethings. i can promise you that the above review is the only one i have written and if any prospective viewers are questioning the validity of this review feel free to contact the city for confirmation. when i called to report them to the city the lady told me that she had recieved several complaints from different people and that this wasn't the first time that they had been written up. And as for there being one manager for many years that also is a lie. when i first signed a lease with Mankato Towers it was being managed by an elderly couple who quit a few months into my lease. Then after a week or two with no management an elderly man named al took over he quit after about 5 months because he said that he couldnt deal with the tyrant that owned the building. After him a middle aged man named jeff was hired and that was all within a year and a half that i was there. So the owners of Mankato Towers are obviously nothing more then slum lords trying to trick more unsuspecting people into signing a lease with them. Seems that there are quite a few excuses in the above response and also blatant lies to try to minimize just how terrible of a place they are running.

You can see that all 5 reviews were written by one unhappy person. The review is untrue. There has only been 1 manager there for many years. Other people are very happy to be there and really love the place. Unfortunately there was a water problem caused by the person upstairs that happened that was taken care of quickly. I hope this person has moved on because the other renters are very happy there. It's unfortunate that this renter was unhappy but we hope they are happier in their new place.

Dear LS, We are sorry that you decided to try and post an negative review when you skipped out and didn't pay your rent, didn't clean the apartment, did a lot of damage to the apartment. Most of our other residents love the place and love the owner and manager. We are sorry that you tried to do damage after you caused so much damage and grief. We tried to fix your requests but you had the doors dead bolted and chained and would not allowed us in. We were in complete compliance with the city inspector for which you were the only one who did call the city inspector. We did not have other issues other than from you and you were the only one to call the city. I am sorry that you are trying to retaliate with falsehoods and slander. We hope you will do better in your new place and we hope you will not try to retaliate against more good people. Mankato Tower Apartments.
