harrassing the tenants

I loved this apartment until two months ago.
Positives: If you complain about something in the morning it is addressed before the end of the day
2. The surroundings and neighborhood are cool (management has got nothing to do with this though).

Now the story begins:
The apartment was cleaning the parking lot. The underground heated garage is included in My $965 monthly rent. But I dont park there because of the repeated accidents I had in the garage. I have a new 2007 CRV. Management doesnt re-imburse you for the insurance payments you make. So I started parking outside. Now one day they decide to clean the parking lot and give a prior notice to remove cars from there. So where am I supposed to park' I already pay them for a stupid garage that I dont use. Since I leave to work by 8:00 am and the notice said that the cars need to be removed before 8:30 am I thought there was no problem. However, the night before i had a bad breathing problem (astma) and had to leave to work very late. Already upset that work schedule has been disturbed and when I come to the parking lot the car was towed. Now at 10:30 I had to run to the towing agency, pay 202.00 dollars - they wouldnt take check or card - only cash, and then go to work afternoon.

So in all this, why should the management be so rude to their tenants' Why cant they have a back-up plan to co-operate with the tenants. Whys hould they expect for some commission that they get from the towing agency. What a horrible day I had to go through - Luckily I had already given a two-month before notice.

The staff is great but the manager is the most rude guy I had ever seen and unfit for such a job. It might seem that he/she is doing his/her job that is totally untrue. Good luck rest of the tenants.

Bye to mallard ridge.

The problem is not about having a bad day. There can be several bad/good days for several reasons. But there could be a genuine reason where a person could be travelling or sick or any other reason for that matter. At the least the management should come up with a plan that does not penalise the tenants for unforeseen circumstances. After people are supposed to co-exist in a civilized manner.

I'll say it again. I have lived at this property for 4 years. I have never had an issue except with a few annoying tenants. I do have one complaint about the property. My first year here was a dream and then it seemed like they started letting in very rude, self-centered people. And by the way, I never said complaints were made up stories. I just think they type of person who seems to be complaining are the type who complain about A LOT of things. Now, back to the issue, I agree if someone was out of town then Mallard Ridge should reimburse the towing expenses, but guess what? That is not the case here is it? This person was right in the apt.

I agree....With the complaint! This place is horrible. I had NO idea that there were so many people complaining. Amye2776, complaints aren't just made up storys. If this place was great, not this many people would complain! There are many other apartments out there that have NO complaints. Must be the horrible mallard ridge staff and management company that can't get their act straight. Well......It's prompted me to put in my 2 month notice before the rude construction workers get to my building. Oh yea, and who gives then rights to stick a pile of dirt in the handicap parking? That there tells me that they are horrible minded people! NOT a place for me and shouldn't be for you either!

I think amye2776 doesn't get the point across. "Unforeseen cusrcumstances" are you are not in town or you are dead or you might be sick - in all the cases you are constrained from goingt o you parking lot to move the car out... it is simple plain english I believe.

how could you put that "it is simple plain english" when you don't seem to have a grasp of the language yourself.

Towing cars when the parking lot needs to be cleared and isn't is a VERY common policy in most apartment complexes. This person HAD a garage parking space - learn to park so you don't have accidents and use it. This is just a stupid excuse from someone who didn't plan ahead.
