Greengate has beautiful apartments and horrible maintenance. From the time I moved in to the time I moved out (1 1/2 years) I had maintanence problems. I went a whole winter with no heat in my living room because I was given a note under my door saying anyone who complained about heat problems (and it wasn't the case) would be charged a $25.00 nuisance call so I never called. Finally I called this winter about it and they did fixe it but it broke again within a week.

The washers and dryers have NEVER worked correctly since I moved in. The settings do not work properly. Some machines will switch to hot while others will not and vice versa with the cold setting. The machines ALWAYS took your money but OFTEN times the machines would not start AT ALL. NO REFUNDS AVAILABLE. IF the machines did run they would not wash them correctly and only two of the 5 dryers actually dried my clothes in my building.

The parking lot was inconveniently plowed and the sidewalks were never shoveled or salted. My friend even slipped and fell on the front steps.

Last issue was with the door buzzer. Never worked from the time I moved in. Finally fixed it, then broke again. I lived on third floor. Every complaint I made was made light of by the apartment manager who said that the people in the building were breaking the washers and dryers ON PURPOSE.

There was a suicide in the garges one week. The following week a fire happened downstairs.

Ans don't believe the manager when she says they do not up the rent because they have up'd mine twice in less than 1 1/2 years.

I'm wondering how you can blame the management for the suicide? It's not like they have ESP and can tell when someone is horribly depressed. I'd also like to note that when it happened, everyone was happy to stand around speculating and fussing but only 2 men stepped up to break open the garage door. Once opened, only one man went in to try and help that poor soul. I'm 100% certain that you were one of the gawkers as I know both men who actually did something about it.
