This apt. is terrible and I don't recommend it to anybody. I have lived here for 2 years and that is way too long. I'm putting in my notice on June 1st and I can't wait to be out of here. Here are some of my many reasons why this place is terrible.

1) There is only one laundry room for the whole apt. The new washers and dryers they put in are of poor quality. It cost $3.00 a load which is ridiculous. My clothes never come clean and I've switched my laundry detergent several times so I know it's the washers. The dryers don't dry properly.
2) Parking is terrible if you live in 1881 especially on the right side. You have to get here early to get a spot otherwise you have a long walk and it's not fun when you have kids and groceries with you. The extra $50 a month for a garage is not worth it considering the garages are falling apart. I've had my car broken into a couple times. The first time they stole all my cds, my speakers and my amp. So I know now not to keep anything valuable in my car. I know this can happen anywhere but I feel like it was someone from this apt. building. Snow removal is a joke. They do a terrible job.
3) My roof leaks and they did nothing about it. They came and looked at it and that was it. They've had the roofers out here several times and my roof still leaks. If an appliance breaks they just replace it with a crappy one from an empty apt. My fridge and AC are from another apt. They run but not well. My sliding glass door was broken for 2 months. Finally I had some friends come and fix it cause I got sick of waiting for the office to come out.
4) The floors are thin. I feel bad for the woman that lives below us because my floors creek loudly every time I walk and I am by no means heavy on my feet.
5) My bathroom smells like a dirty ashtray. I read this in another review so I know I'm not the only one. When the bathroom gets steamed up I see brown streaks down the wall. It's gross.
6) The office is hardly ever open anymore. Which is completely frustrating. I sometimes have packages that sit in there for a week or more because I can never get there in time to pick them up.

Overall this place is just terrible and I wouldn't recommend it at all. It may be cheaper than most places but it's not worth all the cons. I really can't think of anything good to say about this apt.

Why am I not surprised by this review? Champion Apartments are terrible landlords and they would due well to make the building smoke free or put all the smokers on the top floors until they fixed the ventilation problems. I don't see that happening though since they didn't even know how to fix or want to fix my smoke pollution problem I had. Glad to see you got out of there.
