The fact that the manager of this building has responded to this blog is concerning, especially because the terms of this blog require that anyone posting items NOT be an employee of the community. The management of this building is obviously lacking professionalism and ethics in business. As someone researching an apartment for my daughter for the 08-09 school year, I am concerned that this person responding to "harassment" over the internet may not be capable of managing an apartment of college students. I have researched the apartment buildings in the area and have personally experienced the lack of professionalism that occurs at 1301, whereas, other buildings and management staff have acted in a welcoming, PROFESSIONAL manner. It is irrelevent if the premesis for rent is occupied by college students or employed adults, the fair treatment of possible tenants is necessary. It is true, the building fills each year, however, in my discussing the building with students and their parents, many reccomend avoiding the staff that is so discriminatory, manipulative and unprofessional. It is unfortunate that such a nice building is managed by an unprofessional team.

As a current tenant of the building, I was actually glad to see that the management of 1301 took action and didn't sit back and simply let people continue to degrade them all over the internet. It is one thing to be disappointed and provide a criticism written with integrity, but it is quite another to intentionally bash and yes, harass them.

He can be sued for fair housing. Go to student legal services and tell they what he is doing.

as a current tenant of the building, i am guessing the manager of 1301 is the one who posted the first comment, seeing as all my friends and acquaintances in the building straight up hate the management of the building. technically he isnt lying by saying he is a tenant of the building, he does live here. My mom was looking up our apartment building and this site came up and she was pretty shocked to see that i live in a place that has such poor ratings! pretty sad when your parents call you to tell you your $800 a month apartment isnt where they want you living!
