Why do so many cool people live in such a sucky building'

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2006
 
That's kind of the zen koan about this building. The people that aren't crackheads that live here are friendly and cool and there is nice community here. But UPI as you may have gathered from the below entries seriously shirks and sucks. We've been waiting for new carpet for over three years.

Ii'm seriously thinking about moving next door.
