UPI does suck, and I'm sure they're going to gouge me on my security deposit when I move, but this building definitely has some charm. Of course, I might be one of the "crack heads" mentioned in the previous review, as I spend a fair amount of time hanging out on the front wall drinking beer and chatting with my friends from this building and the one next door.

I haven't been here for a winter yet, so I can't comment on the heat, but A.C. is fine - you just need to own one, which the person who complained about it doesn't. It did take them a few weeks to get mine installed, but after that I was fine.

The only person I've seen leave on a stretcher from a drug overdose since I moved in is also the person who made that comment. I know this building was pretty bad a couple of years ago, but there isn't too much drug activity here now, mostly just people drinking beer and having fun.

If you're a quiet yuppie you'd probably do better someplace else, but if you're into a laid-back, fun environment where you don't have to worry about people raining on your parade, this building isn't bad at all.
