I highly recommend the third floor since it will be quieter. Yes you will hear people from time to time but its never anything crazy. The apartments are very old and you have to be ready for that. Management is unresponsive and maintenance is poor. The external locks are difficult to get in and the heating is sporadic in the winter (5 nights woke up to internal temps in the 50s). Its all true - I have read all the reviews for Canterbury and I can tell you most of it is sadly true. I lived there for 3 years and moved out when they wanted to raise my rent at the last renewal.
