Pure Trash

Moldy and still leaky garage in addition to about a 4" x 6" hole in foundation of the garage, out-of-date appliances, sliding screen door bent & off track, outside windows have probably not been cleaned in years...I could go on but I won't. I think point has been made...there is absolutely no maintenance or updating of these buildings. They were built in the 80's and look like 80's.
I filled the hole myself. I avoid using my sliding door to the back deck...would like to grill out there but get too frustrated knowing that they are well aware of the issue yet seem to dismiss it as a problem - so I just avoid it altogether.
They have been made fully aware on a number occasions of the issues that need to be resolved. However; they obviously feel that as long as rent is being paid, there is no issue. I should offer to pay rent when these items are complete. But, I'm sure the law is on their side.
Now, they have signs offering a $500 referral/deduction from rent. As nice as it would be, I would NEVER lie to a person about how nice this property is just for $500. Obviously, if I were to refer someone it would be a friend - friends don't let friends live in trashy/neglected homes. And, I'm certainly not going to go around advertising (scamming) people.
You definitely DON'T get what you pay for here.
