For being my first place I as well didn't expect much. It was very nice at first, the biggest issue I had is that they changed their property manager 3 times within the year that I lived there. They never could get repair orders in timely or correctly:

1. When I first moved in there was no closet rod, I mentioned it the first day and I had to wait 10-12 days for it to arrive.

2. My stove eventually stopped working in one spot and the oven wouldn't warm up at all so when the repair for that happened, they brought the oven in first and then 7 days for the range, which wasn't too big of a deal to me. But in the process of this they left a huge mess all over the kitchen and nonetheless knocked over the trash and left it there all over my floor (no I don't have pets either).

3. The repair men ended up randomly walking into my apartment stating they had a closet rod for me, which was 4 months after I received the rod I actually needed.

4. After a rainy day, the apartment above me started leaking into my living room and left a huge water stain. That day they were fixing the upstairs unit and left all of the scraps of wood and nails and metal chunks all over my deck. Mentioned it to the office as well as the water stain, and it took them 1 week to even come into my apartment to take care of it. I swept off the crap on my deck because no one in the office seemed to care, nonetheless when they came to repaint over the water stain the repair men wore their muddy boots into my room and dirtied up my carpet. Not a happy camper after that.

5. After notifying the office that my carpet was completely muddy, they scheduled a cleaner for me. The guy didn't show up, what a surprise... So the following week after rigorous back and forth with the office he came to clean.

Since then I haven't had any other issues. There are police patrolling the apartment to prevent any more crimes, I have heard of car break-ins in the lot and garages, yet have never experienced it myself. I have always parked in the parking lot and found it to be safe. Never had many issues with my neighbors personally, it's an apartment, you are always going to hear through the walls, that's what you get for living in a building with other families. The courtyard is gorgeous in the summer time, and the pool is very convenient, I never had an issue of too many kids around or in it. In general dealing with the management was something I tried to deal with minimal since of all the problems, but the neighborhood is relatively good. It's quiet and right 169 which is quite convenient.

If you are looking for a 1st place to live or just something relatively of lower standards and affordable housing, this is definitely a great place for you.
