The building is in a great location, but it is not a luxury building. The apartments are on the older side, the ceilings are roughly 12 feet high. The bathrooms need updating, I do not think any upgrades have been done since the building was built in the 60's. The kitchens have no tile, the flooring is the cheaper linoleum type, which looks like tile. Cupboards/countertops are plastic and old.

The wait on the elevators can go for 10-30 minutes, since one of the elevators is out for electrical work, and will be for apporximately 3-4 months. I have had to use the stairs on several occasions. Lots of loud construction work on the parking ramp from 10/2006 to 12/2006. Fire alarms go off at all hours.

I would recommend this building for anyone who wants to live in near Lake Calhoun, but does not mind living in an old, dilapidated, loud, dated building. If you are looking for something more high-class/luxurious, I would strongly recommend 'Calhoun Beach Club' or 'Excelsior and Grand', especially since the rents are very comparable.
