My wife and I have been at the Churchill since May 2001 (and we're still there). I read the other reviews on this site, and I was quite surprised. Everyone who visits us here thinks the apartment is very nice, with a great view, well-heated/cooled, and classy. The pool is the best I've ever seen--on the top floor with a great view of the city. Workout room is adequate. We have found the staff to be friendly and accommodating--especially when it comes to the rent (they will negotiate). Heck, they even let us do a 3-month lease for just $50 additional dollars per month--they COULD have legally held us to the $300/month increase for such a short lease. Some of the other reviewers have complained that they weren't let out of their lease due to a lay-off; well, couldn't ANYONE just say they were laid-off and break their lease, then' Sounds like sour grapes to me. Another person said they waited 30 minutes for an elevator--LOL--ever heard of the stairs' How lazy! The elevators are slow at times, but overall, very good--rarely have I ever waited more than two minutes for one. Maintenance staff is excellent--have helped a couple times very willingly and quickly.

It's hard to know what to think with very few reviews. However every review but your own complains of a slow elevator and management. And then you make fun of them for not using stairs in a high rise apartment! It sound to me like your qualified to work as management there.

I second the comment on stairs. I live at the Churchill and see many, many residents with canes and walkers. I wouldn't tell one of these senior citizens who lives on the 32nd floor to take the steps! Nor would I suggest this to somebody with heavy bags of groceries... or a woman in high heels... or heck, anyone who is just tired, and that includes me, a non-lazy marathon runner.
