1) As far as location is concerned, this place has it made. Being directly on the skyway is very nice, and it's been a convenience to live here.
2) Management, while generally friendly, seemed to have organizational issues. You get a card in your mailbox with what you owe for utilities (due with rent). Often this would arrive after rent was due, sometimes not at all. My magnetic key doesn't open the parking garage that it's supposed to.
3) Noisy! It seemed quiet enough on my tour (conveniently on the 29th floor), but living much lower, I'm tortured with constant traffic-noise. Not only that, it's a simple matter to hear the neighbor's stereo, if the song played has any bass at all. That's not even the worst of it. If you live on the side that faces 1st street, you get to hear the garbage truck dumping and backing up EVERY morning. Sometimes as early as 6 a.m.!! This is very frustrating, and if you enjoy peace and quiet, I suggest living above floor 20, possibly on the side of the building that does not face 1st street.
4) Elevators, while very slow, aren't a problem if you're in good health and live on a floor that isn't too much of a hardship to walk up to. But they are VERY slow. Large groups of people waiting in a crowd in the lobby is a common sight here.
5) The laundry room is clean and I haven't seen too much of a problem with lots of broken equipment. Also, there's a handy debit-card machine if you're not a person who keeps many quarters. However, be warned. There are the same number dryers as washers. Since the washers take half the time the dryers do (generally), if you do your laundry at a busy time, be prepared to have a lot of wet clothes.
6) Mildew. Ew. It was here when I moved in (conveniently "cleaned" out of sight), and I can't even open my bathroom door to let out the steam to help the problem because the smoke detector (great place to put it, guys) will go off.
Overall, it's okay. I've seen far worse management, far worse laundry situations, etc. The rent is maybe a bit high for the age of the building.
