My wife signed the lease with classic city apartment from Maryland. She responded to an ad given by an indian female student in local files. We asked whether the apartment is clean and the girl told us it is reasonably clean. However, when my wife reached minneapolis, she found that the apartment is very filthy and in a very bad shape. The person who was staying there doesn't bother to clean and she was living there without having any furniture. That explains the mental status of the roommate. The most filthy part is that the space allocated for my wife to sleep (on the floor) was littered with lots of hair and dust. Next morning, wife told her that if she is interested in cleaning. The other girl replied that "tell me what to clean'" My wife understood that it is better not to live with an person who doesn't understand the meaning of cleanliness. She contacted the classic city apartments and asked the manager to come and look the apartment. The lady (Heather) came and looked and she responded "I have seen worse than this. You can find somebody for sublease and also $100 penalty". This is the kind of response from management. Infact, the lease will start only on September 1, 2009, and my wife reported to them just after seeing the apartment on August 29, 2009. Now, my wife got another apartment, but Heather is not giving the rental revoked. She says that we need to find a person for sublease and to pay $330 before September 5 and if it is not given a fine of $75. Give me a break!
No person with a sane mind will sublease such a place. My wife doesn't want to cheat anybody. She told Heather that she is not going to find anybody for sublease, nor going to pay the rent. She told her that we will meet on court. So, please, my dear friends, never go and fell in trap with Classic city apartments.

First off I don't live in this building nor do I have any affiliation to this appartment. I was going through apartments reading reviews and came across yours. It was so absurd and hilarious that I had to respond, I couldn't help my self. I have known people that have lived there and have heard nothing but good things. Sounds to me like you should have done a little more research (ie. meeting the person with whom your wife is going to live with and maybe actually looking at the place befor signing the lease). The only person you can be mad at is yourself for putting your wife in this situation!

Also, it's not her responsibility to clean your shi**t.. The apartment that you are going to give for rent is a filthy asylum. Only abnormal people can live there. May be, u don't find it filthy. Have ur eye check or find a psychiatrist. If you go to court, we will see in court. Also, u tried to harass my wife when she asked for your help. Regarding buying furniture, she was going to buy the furniture, but the girl who was living there doesn't have any hygiene. You can always sing that she signed the lease. We will sue you and that other roommate if you try to bring it to court.
