A lot of crappy housing has gone up in this area lately, and it just made me appreciate Dinnaken more. Its a small, locally-owned company so I didnt have to call some corporate headquarters to get my toilet fixed. I was reading that this building is almost 15 years old, but you wouldnt know it from the looks of the place. Everything was built really well, is landscaped nicely, and really fits in with the campus. They offer all the things that the new "luxury" apartments do, but at a fraction of the cost. And the people are a lot more friendly and respectful. They have a live-in staff of student building managers that keep things from turning into animal house, and I just found out that Dinnaken houses the families of terminally-ill patients at the nearby hospital. Its nice to see those kids and parents around...it makes it feel more like home. Plus, there is a 24 hour reception desk, with a real, live, person there to answer you questions or help you out.
