Worse than hell.

So i've read many of these comments about the Melrose....sure, some people have had bad experiences...but I had 8 months from hell. My situation was a bit worse than the melrose could handle...though they tried...as of now, legally I cannot talk about the specific situation.
None the less, if you are looking to sign a 30 page lease that entitles the melrose staff, or lack there of, to own you for the duration of your lease, you may as well call the melrose home.
Seriously...i've lived in 5 different complexes around campus, none more than front and back lease lengths. The melrose tells you exactly what you can do, when you can do it, and where you can do it. Then, if you don't do exactly what they want, they punish you for it...or try to...sometimes even for something you didn't do!
The staff is extremely rude, unresponsive, uncaring and cold. If something goes wrong, they want to place blame no matter where it is.
The apartments are tiny with tiny windows that don't open. Through my research and my ordeal with them, I came to find out that the apartment sizes are only legal by housing standards due to the fact that the furniture in the bedrooms is removable. Had the closets been permanent, the rooms would be too small for legal living.
Aside from that, the managment is a big fan of harrassing tenants by slipping daily notices under your door to tell you exactly what you are doing wrong....
Most students go to college to be on their own...if you want a second mother...not even mother....try ugly stepmother running your life after home, that's cool. sign a 30 page lease with the Melrose apartments.
