I lived at the Melrose back in 2002-2003, when the building first opened. The apartment was nice, but I got stuck with 2 immature roommates that had never been away from home before and wanted to throw parties every weekend. The place actually charged me when i lost my key and had to be let in my apartment. The security staff on duty had to ride up the elevator and simply put a key in the door. And I had to pay for it. I was also getting "notices" under my door that I never saw until I was threatned to be evicted. When I told management that I never received any notices, they basically called me a liar. (The problem was my loud roommates that I was getting the blame for). They also charged me for having a "dirty" bathroom when I moved out, which was cleaned spotless. We also often ran out of hot water, so I would have to go to work at 6am without showering.
