Attention all readers: As a management company this is the second time we have chosen to respond to postings in this way. We ask all potential leasers to question fact vs. opinion or slander.

Recent Postings regard Melrose "only caring about your money." Melrose has more full-time staff than any other single off-campus housing complex in the area. Our professional staff has years of experience and education in the area of Student Services. We sincerely want to serve our students in a fair and reasonable manner.

There are many times when students come to our office and we aren't able to offer the answer they want to hear. Unfortunately, there are policies that cannot be broken and exceptions that cannot be granted. However, we will take the time to explain not only the details of the policy, but the reasoning for that policy as well.

If you have questions about our performance or track record, we ask that you contact services like the Better Business Bureau, Minneapolis Police, University of Minnesota Housing Office or our residents directly. Likewise, of course, you are welcome to contact our management office directly, but for a truly unbiased response, feel free to consult any of the above-mentioned reliable sources, rather than making any determination based on a few isolated ill-spirited individuals, much less false statements or allegations.

Finally, if you have criticism for our office, we like to hear it directly so we can remedy the situation. A lot has changed in our office in the past two years (including the replacement of three Director-level managers and a change in ownership), and we strive to be responsive and helpful in all situations. Improvements can always be made, but we must first hear of concerns before we can begin to resolve those issues.

False statements?? Yet all of these reviews have been by real people who have lived there? How are you going to explain the dorm sized room price of $750 or higher a month to them? Yeah rip off and waste of time. I love my new apartment that offers me a walk in closet, top of the line fitness center, tanning beds, hot tub, and leasing office that knows you on right away and greets you and cares, unlike your dive. Location is the only thing you have going for you. But don't forget about the low income housing project two blocks to the east of you that causes many vandalisms. So maybe location isn't all that great either.

Everything thing on here that is good was written by the leasing office. Dont believe it for a second.
