What Melrose is really like

You know, it's too bad that people who read this site are getting a false impression of what Melrose is really like. How can you possibly take "Smellrose" seriously when his primary arguments against Melrose are:
1) "Everybody is getting drunk all the time"
-Really...like right now at 2:00 pm. Yes, this is a college apartment, but I've never in 3 years had a noise issue that couldn't have been solved immediately by giving security a call. Noise is rarely ever an issue.
2) "If you lose your keys or get locked out of your room - they charge you"
-Name one apartment complex that wouldn't charge you for losing your keys. Obviously, it costs them money to get you new keys. And as far as getting locked out of your room, they let you in 3 free times before they charge you a whopping fee of $5. A procedure about as standard as you would find anywhere.
3) "Firetrucks usually come wailing by at least once or twice a week"
-Wow, it impresses me that you were able to post this apartment rating. I mean...I can't believe you survived the trauma of listening to a fire truck pass by for 15 seconds 1-2 times per week.
Listen, for everybody who searching for apartments in Minneapolis, you can't take an idiot like this seriously without hearing some rational feedback. First off, the one thing that really impresses me about this complex is image. Not only is the cleaning staff putting in a lot of hours to keep this place looking great, but the renovations made in the last couple of months have made this place really stand out. They've re-painted, re-carpeted, put in new furniture in the atrium, and not to mention - new flatscreen TV's in all of the amenities look pretty cool.
The more and more you search around Minneapolis, the more you're going to realize that you get the most out of Melrose...and trust me, I've looked everywhere. Keeler, 1301, UC, UV, and Jefferson's rates cannot compare to Melrose. Your own room, bathroom, parking spot, furnished apartment, a fitness center, a computer center, a game room, and a theater - those are things you may find individually elsewhere, but you wont find collectively.
Don't let a couple of people who WERE the problem convince you that Melrose was the problem.

Wow, way to go Melrose staff, calling one of your own residents an idiot. Nice. And do you honestly think that image is one of the most important features of the place you live in?

Just to be clear, we asked every single staff member if they posted that review and everyone's answer was no. This review was not posted by a staff member, and it is never acceptable for anyone in our office to refer to any Melrose resident in a derogative manner.
