While the building and apartments are beautiful, and it is very nice to have a washer/dryer in the apartment. The leasing office is very difficult to work with. When I first moved in a was constantly charged over and they would say I would have a "rent credit" the next month. To me this is unacceptable, they took more money then I owed and it should be given back, I plan my expenses perfectly and to hear Instead of getting my money back that next month it would go towards rent was wrong.

After working out the problems everything is going smoothly. The staff is courteous and it is always clean. The only other warning I have about melrose is that the air is TERRIBLE. I have asthma and I can spend the whole day out and as soon as I step into my room I immediately can't breathe. I have a $150 air filter running in my apartment but it barely helps. To top it off I have a goldfish and the water needs to be changed EVERY OTHER DAY because dust settles so quickly. Except for the bathroom vent air just filters in circles through the apartment and dust settles in just 24 hours.

I do love living here but as soon as my lease is up im out. They spend thousands on parading tvs all over the common areas and buying orange couches that no one sits in instead of updating the apartments.

The work orders are filled very promptly and the maintenance people area very helpful.

Windows would definitely help. That is, windows that open.
