The first year East Village opened, I lived there in a 1 bedroom plus den. Since no one had lived there, it was very nice. I had absolutely no problems whatsoever. The building was brand new, neighbors were quiet, and the underground parking was fabulous in the winter. The only downside to East Village is the neighborhood. It is safe for the most part but you must keep in mind you are a few blocks from Franklin Ave.(not the safest place in Minneapolis) and next to a couple of homes (for the mental, for alcoholics, and handicap). Overall, I would give East Village 4 out of 5 stars.
