Most of the office people are nice, but there is one who is annoying and for the most part irresponsible- have submitted many maintence requests through her, and she has managed to mess every one up. Deal with someone else.

In the summer, there are screaming children (and the screaming is coming out in a language that isn't English, and the kids belong to the people in the next door project building) at all hours of the day. There is only AC in the bedroom(s)- not any in living area- and it will raise your electric bills by atleast $30 a month because the systems aren't very good.

People smoke in the stairwells and nothing is done about it- there are ashes everywhere and if you live next to one, above one, or below one, it seeps into your apartment unit.

They kept reassigning our parking spot to other people, once again an error by the office girl in the first paragraph.

There are large stains on the living room carpet, the bathroom floors have strange blue and pink stains in the linoleum, and they masking taped over areas that the tile chipped.

Earlier this winter season, they made a drape/curtain length limit active. Someone in this huge apartment building had large blankety curtains over their windows, and they hadn't moved, cleaned, or opened them in months. They noticed an odd smell coming from their window and notified maintenance about the problem. There was a think black layer of mold growing beneath their curtains, and due to their one case, the rest of building suffers. I don't pay this much money to butcher my own things.

There is also this gang of people who hang out on the corner at the East Village Market pretty much every night. They yell vulgar things, but if you aren't alone, you should be alright.

The positives of this place:
You get a lot of space to work with, and the corner units are beautiful.
Washer and dryer in the unit is amazingly convenient.
You get an extra storage unit down the hall.
The windows are beautiful.
Underground parking is nice to have.
It is quiet in the fall and winter season.
It's in the middle of everything. 10-20 minutes of walking gets you where you need to go.
Most of the office folk are super nice.
The building is new, and we've never had a pest problem. Though, lots of strange but neat things live in the ivy outside.

This person knows NOTHING. They are quite clearly NOT from a metro area at all. When you live in DOWNTOWN minneapolis, there are going to be people outside at any hour of the night, anywhere you look. And just because they happen to be NOT white, doesn't make them a 'gang'. Not only that but the old staff was all completely fired and the staff now is new. Cut them some slack. Better yet redneck why don't you go back to your tiny town so you can feel safe, and bad mouth someone else.
