I lived at the Equinox for four years. I had paid the original deposit and two cat deposits. When we moved out were told we owed $400 for carpet despite them keeping $1200 of our deposit. Every rating online shows the carpet has a rating of 3 years but they insist it has a 7 year life.
While I resided there, there were continuous problems with cars being broken into and the manager suggested that it was the tenents fault.
In addition if you needed parking and had to arrive home after 7pm you were out of luck.
Renter beware.

I agree with u that the management is horrible and rude. They try to rip u off in every possible way. I have lived here for few years, and I am leaving this year for sure. Amy Utley, the manager, is rude and a real -----. We could easily find better apartments for this price elsewhere. Please don't rent in the Equinox.

I currently live at Equinox and I have paid the pet deposit which is $300. It doesn't make sense that they kept $1200 of your deposit because you would have only given them $1000 with your apartment deposit. And as for your carpet it is expected to last 7 years and whatever damage you cause to it you are expected to pay the remaining years left on the carpet. Did your cats scratch a whole in it? beacuse that is beyond normal wear and tear!
