I lived in Equinox for a short time with my boyfriend until we moved back down to my place. It was the worse apartment place I have ever lived in! As other reviews say, they are EXTREMELY rude! Their policies are so strict you can't even have a rug outside your door! They also tried to rip us off with our deposit! They had taken $60 out for normal wear and tear on the apartment. So we got a check in the mail a few weeks later for $340. Well a couple weeks after that we got another letter in the mail saying they wanted us to give back $260 because "they found some more damage."
We had to threaten them with lawyers (I work for a lawfirm downtown Minneapolis) and when I wrote them from my work email address explaing what they were trying to do is illegal, they backed off and said it was okay, and we did not have to pay more money back.
On top of all of this, their prices are WAY too high! For a 1 bedroom they want $700 and the apartments are extremely small and you can hear EVERY footstep above you if you're not on the top floor.
Whatever you do, do NOT rent from Equinox!
