My neighbors (who qualified for section 8) were paying 1/10th what I was for rent.
There were always a bunch of kids running around.
The girls who run the office didn't have two brain cells to rub togther

As the manager of Excelsior and Grand, I want to assure you that we do not have children running rampant around our community. We have, as do all rental communities, lease guidelines regarding residents and their guest's behavior. We enforce these guidelines because we sincerely want to make all of our residents experience at Excelsior and Grand as pleasant as possible. From the day we were built, 5% of our community has been designated for Section 8 homes. Residents who qualify for our program are sent to us by the City of St. Louis Park. These are local individuals or families who are in need of rental assistance. I would like to think we are making a difference in their, and most importantly, their children's lives. These individuals are required to go through the same credit and criminal background checks as our other residents. I have found these residents to be a wonderful group of people, and very proud of their homes. I personally invite anyone who is looking for a new home to come and visit Excelsior and Grand and discover for yourself what a wonderful community we have.
