you will never get your deposit back

I read the reviews on here about people losing their deposits before I moved in. I honestly thought that I wouldn t have a problem because I am a very clean person and have always been refunded my entire deposit from apartments. When I was moving out I cleaned the place top to bottom following there absurd check list that they send you a few weeks before you move out they charge for EVERYTHING (like $5 for every drawer you don t vacuum out!) So I did the walk through with the girls from the front desk, they told me everything was great and I went on my way. Weeks later I get a letter in the mail they are accusing my cat of peeing on the carpet and it needing to be replaced (I ve had this cat for 6 years he has NEVER peed on a carpet). They not only are taking my entire deposit but requesting I send them $102 more!!! To justify their stealing of my money they include this ridicules equations that says the carpet should last 7 YEARS!!!! What kind of apartment leaves carpet for seven years'''!!!! And they expect me to pay for each year they didn t get out of it! It looks like this: total cost of replacement $808.80 carpet is expected to last 7 years = 84 months. $808.80/84= $9.63/month, carpet was 22 months old= 62 months of life left $9.63 x 62= $597.06 this is swindling through and through. Nothing was wrong with the carpet and my cat never peed on anything but how do I prove that' I can t. So I paid them MY money and reported them to the better business bureau. I just wanted to warn people that these stories are not from people who did anything wrong to their apartments (the girls from the office said everything looked great) it s the managers doing BAD business. There are much more respectful apartments to live in that wont steal your money, I suggest u move there.

I want to post the moving checklist for you guys to see this craziness but its a little hard to read, however if you want to see it drop me an email and ill send it to you lolaathome@hotmail.com

Also if any of you that have lived here and had your money STOLLEN want to sue this management company talk to me and let s get together and do it!
