This place isn't terrible, but not great either. The building's hallways and stairwells are in need of serious renovation- the carpet is old and stained, and the dull paint and dim lighting make the hallways look dark and dingy. They usually smell like an amalgam of smoke and other nasty odors. The courtyard is nothing special, and in the summers people smoke there and the smoke is sucked into your unit by your air conditioner.
The actual unit isn't bad. The appliances work, the paint is fresh, the carpet is clean. But the blinds are cheap and tacky, and there is no overhead lighting in the living room or bedroom (you have to get creative with your lighting). The ceiling fans and doors look like leftovers from the '70s.
Apt. manager is great- friendly and looks out for the tenants. It's OK for the money, but you can find better for the same price.
