The lease that the GrandMarc is not negotiable and sucks. It is iron clad with random rules and the office staff never seems to know exactly whats written in the lease, instead they just turn down all requests for ANYTHING. They accused me of leaving my trash in a room, which was TOTALLY offensive because I don't and then said they would charge me $25 for every bag of trash they found in the future...when I did not even do it. Again, I think that the office staff is so unknowledgeable that they just turn down all requests. They are also really expensive, especially their ------ parking. I don't recommend this apartment unless you are willing to spend a lot and have crazy, out-of-control Art Institute kids running around and smoking.
The apartment is nice in itself, its the lease, office staff, and people that live there that are horrible. Don't look for the office staff to cater to you.
By the way, the first day I moved in someone broke into the apartment next to me through a coutyard window that only residents can get into. THEY DID NOTHIGN ABOUT THIS EVEN WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO THEIR ATTENTION!!!!

I agree this place is ridiculous, the U and the art school need to combat this crappy living by taking them out of recomendation.
