I have been very pleased with everything about these apartments EXCEPT, now that it is winter it is frigidly cold in my apartment and I can't seem to get anything done about it even though I have called management more than seven times about it. On my end, I have put plastic insulation over the windows and air conditioner vents and purchased a space heater -- neither of which has done much to improve the comfort level within the apartment.
I know the heating works because when it first kicked on at the beginning of October it was marvelously warm. I'm currently trying to figure out if management is simply too cheap to turn the boiler up to a comfortable level or if there is some sort of problem with the heating system in general (it looks pretty antiquated). I am dreading January and February because I know it will only get worse.
On the upside, the location is wonderful and the view of downtown is magnificent. The layout of the apartment is great and I have tons of closet space.
This would probably be the perfect location for someone who can stand an interior temperature in the low 60s/upper 50s (it's warmer in the hallway than it is inside my apartment).
