KEEP LOOKING!!!

At first appearance, one might think they have found a gem of an apartment in Lowry Hill next to the Sculpture Garden, but the fabulous views do not compensate for all the problems you will most likely encounter. Good things first: Location, underground heated parking, and spacious floor plan with lots of closet space.
Now the bad: The kitchen and baths are original from construction, including the appliances, cabinets and flooring. The floors sound as if someone is going to come crashing through at any moment, the squeaking is so loud that if your upstairs neighbor gets up in the middle of the nite so will you. There is no resident management or courtesy officer, so if you have a problem with a noisy neighbor at night (and you will) all you can do is call the police. There are people outside on the terrace at all hours of the night, laughing, shouting, drinking and carrying on. We have had people moving in or out as late as 1 AM. Management is very lacidasical about all problems. The property manager has the worst personality and should not be in any business where she relates to people. She lied repeatedly to us, and treats complaints with disdain with hopes that you will just forget about them and go away. Maintenance is horrible, my bathroom ceiling has been leaking since before I moved in, the ceiling is molded and brown and parts of it are collapsing. When the neighbor takes a shower water runs down the wall and streams down in several spots into our tub and on the seat of our toilet. When reported to the manager all she said was "Okay." It has never been fixed. We went to Klodt, Inc. (the owners)after three months and demanded to terminate our lease, and they did so begrudgingly after we signed a form stating that we would not sue them. This mistake has been very costly for us, and we hope this review helps save someone all the trouble and expense we have been through. NOISY, POOR MAINTENANCE, RUDE MANAGEMENT!!! Your money can be better spent elsewhere! $1120 per month, you should not have even one of these problems, much less all of these on a repeated/cotinuous basis!
