Can't wait to move OUT

I have lived here 3 1/2 years. The worst event so far was being threatened with physical violence by the owner of an unleashed dog after her dog nearly attacked mine. Ignorant people EVERYWHERE. Door locks jammed because tenants are too poor or cheap to get a second key (no charge unless lost). There are very few educated, respectful people here because of the inexpensive rent.

When it comes to repairs, good luck. I went without heat over a three day weekend and was told each time..."we only have to supply 78 degrees of heat by law" when it was 63 degrees in my apartment!!! Unless you go over management's head with important issues, you can bet they won't get done in a timely fashion (1-2 weeks). Repair requests often seem to be ignored. Weeks go by before anything changes. They would rather wait until the problem requires IMMEDIATE attention when a little attention when you call would have saved them time, money, and also satisfy the tenants.

Sometimes, repairs are done on vacant units and the junk (carpet, padding, wiring, wood trim) gets thrown out the window and forgotten for months. You pay a monthly pet fee for bags and your pet's rent. Only, there have been weeks when there are no bags to clean up after your pet.

When somebody hit the garage next to mine, bricks laid in the street for TWO WEEKS! After four requests, I finally threw some of them in front of management's door before they got the hint...

I could go on, and on... I do NOT recommend Huntington Pointe if you can afford a little more for rent!

You are talking about Huntington POINTE....Not PLACE... Huntington Place is not like that.

I live in Huntington Place and my repairs are always done in a resonable amount of time. The one time this was not the case I called after hours maintence during the last snow storm and they came in two hours. Also, doors do get jammed but at Place they are fixed within a couple of days. Huntington Place is a great value for the money.

SO...which one is it?? Pointe or Place? I am moving to the area in about a month I really do not wish to waste my time...I trust what the residents say...they live there, management usually don't...and we all know why...

I MEANT Huntington PLACE... I delivered the mail for Huntington POINTE for 3-4 months so I typed the wrong name. POINTE is being torn down. PLACE is where I lived and will never recommend to ANYONE! Started out fine but over 3.5 years had FAR too many problems that never got resolved. How about walking on a soggy floor because maintenance can't fix the leaky dishwasher. The floor was rotten. Then I had to finish installing the trim because they were too lazy to finish the job. ...I could go on...and on...and on!!!

Pointe was torn down by the city of Brooklyn Park for being a total dump. Which was managed buy the same company as Place is so I can only hope the same happens to Place. On Thursday my building lost water, I called the managment company to complain about that and much more. To my surprise I got a new a/c unit which I have been waiting for since LAST YEAR! I hope my crapy oven gets replaced soon, which had been in issues since LAST YEAR ALSO!
