Parking - Generally not a problem now that they tow cars every day but snow removal is a problem it can be weeks after snowfall when they plow the lots. The walkways also go unshovled for a long time, which can be a slip hazard.
Noise - You can hear everything that goes on below you if you live on the 3rd floor and everything that goes on in your neighbor s bathroom in your bedroom. The pipes are old and loud. Forget taking a pleasant shower if your neighbors flushes the toilet or runs the water you will feel it. You can also hear what everyone is watching on TV or listening to in the hallways.
Grounds - Poorly kept random wood chip landscaping that turns to mud in the rain/snow.
Safety - Exterior lights often burnt out for long periods of time as well as the interior hall lights. Currently a lot of the lights for the garages are out or the fixtures are broken all together. Apparently vandalism, loitering and smoking the hallways has become a problem so much so that they give rent credits to residents who catch people doing so. Wouldn't be so bad but don't get mad at the vending machines and shake, or kick them because that is vandalism. The complex has also sent letters around in the past reminding residents to lock unit doors and cars and not to park out far in the lots because units, and cars do get broken in it. Questionable people are unavoidable but on one occasion I found a man passed out in front of my door and I worried about my girlfriend walking from the garage when she comes home at night so I wait by the garage to escort her.
Construction - Door handles, light fixtures, and carpet in the halls, and linoleum in the stairways all falling apart. You will have ice on the inside of your windows when it gets bellow freezing.
Maintenance - Takes many calls to fix the issues, had an issue with my stove and heat that took many calls to get resolved. Heat issue still not resolved from last year. Maintenance unlocks the laundry room doors hours late. Sing reads 8:30am to 10:00pm daily doors weren't open until after 1:00pm today.
Staff - Friendly but clueless.
Overall - I have lived here for almost 2 years and have seen some improvement but not much. I can't wait to leave I keep telling myself just a few more months.
