This is a great place to be near the lakes and uptown, but feel the safety of the edge of the suburbs as well. They allow pets too! :)

Staff: The staff are great - both maintenance and office staff. The maintenance staff are very quick about getting to your issue.

Storage: It is really nice to have a free storage locker (huge!) in the basement

Parking: Having a free parking spot in the lot is nice. However, it is often difficult to find a spot in the lot, and almost necessary to pay for a very expensive spot in the garage when it gets cold (starting in about November) - especially since when they plow the streets, those who can't find a spot in the lot will have to park VERY far away to park legally.

Amenities: Wall A/C - not too energy-efficient, but they cool the apartments fast. The Dishwashers are long-running, loud, and big energy-eaters, but great to have (a rarity), plus a garbage disposal, oven & stove & fridge make up the small kitchen.

Apartment Features: The HUGE walk-in closet is great! Large room sizes for the area. A recessed living room adds a uniqueness to the apartment and an interesting design feature. The best part is the personal, screened in deck (perfect for animals and bug-less enjoyment)!

Activity areas: Great to have a pool, SAUNA! with extra guest bathrooms and showers attached, a pool table, and community/party room to sign out (free) - great for parties! There's also a small exercise room with several cardio machines, a large multi-functional weight machine & A/C. There is also a beautiful wooden sundeck on the rooftop with lawnchairs - perfect for tanning or for having guests over for a great summer evening. There are grills in the summer in both enclosed (safe) courtyards (which are great to bring pets outside to spend time) that are free for anyone to use, with tables & chairs.

Common areas: Kept very clean, the basement smells pretty odd, but what basement doesn't'

Issues: The laundry is pretty pricey, and the washing machines are HE, meaning you need to use special laundry detergent for them. There needs to be a change machine for all the quarters needed to do laundry. Your "free" parking pass is taken away from you when you buy a really expensive garage spot. Packages are taken by the office when dropped off, which is nice, but you can only pick up your package during office hours, which are the same as most peoples' work hours. The sound-proofing of the walls is decent, but hearing the apartment above you is not.

Overall, I'd recommend this place for starter apartments, but not for someone who needs quiet (especially late evening), and wants a super-clean place.
