The entrance is lovely, the architecture is lovely, the people living here are lovely, the laundry room is large, clean, and well-equipped, security is pretty good, the location is convenient to public transit, they take big dogs. Now the cons. They take big dogs. If you don't like dogs, don't live here. If you do like dogs/own dogs, this place is perfect for you. Just avoid getting an apartment on a lower floor on the east side of the building, that's where the authorized "pee" area is, and it gets a little ripe in the summer. The elevator has been under repair since November (6 months and counting!), and the staff is a bit grumpy, as the rest of the reviewers have noted, but they are efficient and responsible, which is a lot more than I can say about the maintenance staff in other buildings I've lived in. My girlfriend has lived in a studio here for about a year, and we're potentially moving into a 1-bedroom this summer. Having talked to residents of many of the buildings around Loring Park, I feel confident in choosing this building. Every apartment community has its flaws, it's just a matter of figuring out what flaws you're willing to live with.

(PS- and you WILL hear noise from other tenants no matter where you live, so stop grumping, people!)
