Dated building, poor new management, great location

Lots of thugs and homeless frequent the area around the hotel. The appliances were dated and scratched, the original early 80s linoleum was caked with buildup, and the general feel inside the apartments was dingy. The management was very slow to respond to reports of a rotting cabinet door. The fix was simply to paint over the rot, leaving the paint to peel again a few months later. Lots of smoking tenants, and there is nothing one can do about the smoke from the hallways coming into the apartments. I put a towel under the door, but still had smoke in the rooms and a dirty towel. The heated parking is nice, but management made several billing mistakes, coincidentally all in their favor. If renting here, double-check your bills. The new management has been charging for anything and everything on move-out. Friends had charges for burnt-out lightbulbs ($8.00) and light soiling on the carpet ($35), oven charcoal ($50) and counter scratches ($35). Rent with your eyes open if you choose to stay here.
