I couldn't flush the toilet for 6 days!

Echoing other recent comments, this place is going down hill and going there fast. Maintenance is ridiculously bad. For example, we were given notice one day in advance that the water would be shut off from something like 9-6PM for maintenance water remained off for 6 days! The apartment was totally unlivable when we couldn't even flush the toilet! When they finally did turn the water back on, they broke our ceramic toothbrush holder. Now its really no big deal, it cost like $15 or something, but they glued it back together and strategically placed the badly chipped and cracked side of the holder facing the wall, so I hopefully wouldn t notice (until I found pieces on the floor later that day as I was cleaning up the dirt they had tracked in). I guess leaving an apology note was out of the question. To go on even more, I've requested repair on our stovetop 3 times over the course of 11 months and nobody has even looked at it (to my knowledge). My bathroom fan/vent hasn't worked in 2 months (and I've requested it be looked at twice now). The bathroom door has been broken since the day we moved in, and of course no one has bothered to look at that either. And I could go on for hours about all the problems the maintenance team has, but I think you get the idea.
Security in the building is waning too. Broken locks and missing fire/security doors plague the halls in areas, smashed in car windows in the parking lot, and with the rising crime rate in the Marcy Holmes neighborhood I personally feel less safe everyday.
And be prepared to shell out some decent dinero if you plan to keep these apartments even moderately cool in the summer time. Our non-energy efficient air-conditioning unit, mixed with poor insulation and warped windows (that leak water like Niagara falls when it rains) will add some big bang to that energy bill.
All and all, if you re looking for a place to live, try somewhere else no matter who you are. And if you re a University student, make sure you know about Student Legal Services, and the Housing Office (they ll give you background on landlords and places to live too, and help you sue landlords for money owed to you (AKA security deposits, over charged rent, etc)) because Remington is the type of place that seemingly takes advantage of students and young people.

Hey, Jen! You should probably come up with another alias if you wanna be more convincing... and perhaps, stop slandering Matt. I don't think anyone can take it seriously. It's actually really funny... that and your love for Ms. Wolfe or whatever. You probably ARE Ms. Wolfe. Haha.
