As a graduate student, I was looking for a nice, quiet place to live near downtown with good amenities. Although the staff was courteous and friendly when I first moved in, they quickly became less friendly as time passed. A friend visited three days in a row, and they threated to charge me for his parking spot. When I gave my notice to vacate two months and 10 or so days prior to my intended move out date, they informed me that two calendar months meant full calendar months, and although I gave notice on June 6, I would not be permitted to move out until the end of August. Upon moving out, I was given a checklist of potential charges such that not cleaning *one* shelf incurred a $3 charge. They were obviously dying to keep my security deposit despite the ridiculous rent I was paying. The only time the staff was friendly from that point forward was when I brought in checks, and then only mildly so. This became even more so infuriating when I discovered that another complex two blocks down the street with very similar layouts/balconies/etc charged $200-300 less each month. I learned my lesson the hard way. It won't happen again.
