I must address this review as it is full of information that is not factual and is very slanderous. I do not feel the need to justify this response as it is apparent in our continual high occupancy for the last 8 years that I have been Community Manager, the outstanding resident surveys, returned residents, and many awards our community and team members have received, that the apartment homes, the facility, and the staff are excellent! You could even call our police and fire departments and find out their high recommendations. Our recent annual fire inspection resulted in not one finding.
The Fire Inspector commented...
"I have seen all of the area apartments over the years.
They all say they care about the residents but you could not tell that by
the pages of issues and violations that I find.
At Royal Oaks it shows how much you care and I am really impressed!??
A city inspector was here training in a new inspector recently and she told him, "If you find anything at all wrong here it would be very odd.??
I would warn any prospective renter from believing what you read about any properties listed. Go and visit. See for yourself. Anyone can write anything here and you??re going to find that negative people are more likely to take the time to write something nasty more so than those that are pleased. It's just like restaurants and hotels with comment cards. If we have a bad experience we are looking for that comment card, but if we have a good experience it usually and unfortunately does not even enter our minds to write about it. Thank you to those thoughtful individuals that have posted the good. I do know who this resident is and suffice to say, you know someone just like them. (The negative co-worker or extended family member that is un-pleasable, no matter what the subject is. They are always the victim with a chip on their shoulder)
As I stated, I am not going to go through each point of ??his?? comments however, there are some facts about the property that are just untrue. For instance, of course the keyless entry system does not lock you out if the power goes out. The main doors fault to open. When power goes out in the area, ours does too, not to our fault. The FOB card replacement cost has always been $60, not $85, and also not $100 as many places do charge. The pet fee has never been $30; it has always been and currently is $15. We don't have drainage problems, it's called Preventative Maintenance. We don't wait for a problem to happen first. We have never had complaints about messes left behind when we do this, especially ones that take hours to clean. Seriously'! We do the drain cleaning twice a year for at least the last 8 years I have been here and if what is stated was true, I assure you I would have had some phone calls and the company we use would not be coming back. Our maintenance team is top-notch, and complete their work orders in 24 hours! They leave apartments the way they find them. They have been here for many years without incident and are outstanding individuals! Snow removal is their first priority in the winter. They are shoveling by 6AM when we have 2 inches or more. We have our lots cleared that same morning. If there was anything to complain about as far as snow removal goes, we tend to over salt. I'd love to go on and on and address each issue but I have taken enough of your time and I thank you for your attention. Please do not hesitate to call on us and other properties listed on this site. Do your own investigating.
Sincerely,
Pamela Campbell

I think it in unnecessary for a manager to go on here to defend themself... just let it be, obviously those of us that have experience reading reviews, know that you just read them all to see what was complained about at an exageraged level most times. Personally I would not believe this neg. review because the tenant lived there so long, but then it annoys me to see the manager write a long review, defending herself, seems a little childish to me.

I was impressed that the manager actually cared enough to even come to this website. The manager at Sedona Hills, where I live, doesn't seem to care about what the residents think at all.
And I completely agree that most people who take the time to write a review are usually people who have had a bad experience. I wish more people who liked their apartment would write.

I agree, that when a manager takes the time to respond, they are usually validating that they are jerks and arrogant, so much so that this manager felt the need to run off a list so called accomplishments.
And she is wrong to assume the old saying that only negative people will take the time to come online to complain. Everyone who has a bad experience doesn't complain and everyone who has a great experience doesn't praise.
May the management team is good, maybe not, and who in the heck would want to have to live in a bad place for 6 months to one year to find out. All of these internet sites provide a service for people who choose to RATE their experience and ultimately positive or negative advertisement about a complex. It would be reasonable to assume that the majority of renters don't based where they are going to live on a single source and surely not a single website, you gotta be kidding me that, Pamela Campbell actually felt the professional need to come here.
I have got to stop by just to see what an apartment manager looks & acts like who would feel the need to personally rant about another tenants complaint. Is this her precedence, that anytime somebody complains, she will jump on the site to so call defend her her PERFECT MANAGEMENT no problem ever comes up, no misunderstanding, she's the best human being in apartment management complex.
Just amazing. I decided to response to this specific posting out of entertainment ... gosh, I am just laughing my butt off, while I watch the Patriots beat up on the Jaguars.
Try being humble and show a little humility Miss. Campbell, it will suite you better in the long run.

Really only 3 things to say about this:
1)Why wouldn't you just post your comment about their review actually in their review? That's what the little box at the bottom that says "Your thoughts? Post a response to this review" is there for. I would think as an apartment manager you could read that.
2)You wrote a comment on a review that was nearly a year old. You need to defend yourself against an attack that was made a year ago? And if you needed to defend yourself like that, how about the negative things said in one of the other posts between your post and the one you referred to? Yes they also said positive things, but they also said negative.
3)Obviously by reading other posts and even just the comments on that original post, anyone with common sense would be able to figure out that person was full of it and to consider that they may be stretching the truth just a bit. If you can't trust that people will understand that, then you're treating anyone who is interested in your apartment like they're stupid. If someone didn't figure it out that it may not be entirely truthful, then maybe you don't want them living there.
