I am moving out of an SCA building in about a month. First off, the neighborhood isn't exactly the best, but it's not their fault. In the time I've been here, there have been random, unannounced apartment inspections. No phone call, just a note saying that they dropped by.

The office staff is very rude and another commenter called them "petty" -- perfect description. A friend of mine was staying in my apartment for a week and his parents FedEx'd him a check so he could purchase his own apartment. I wasn't home, so FedEx dropped it off at the rental office. I checked with the rental office two days prior to make sure it was okay, but the property manager told me that they were going to return it because his name isn't on the lease. I argued with the staff and was threatened with eviction. I finally got the letter, but the person who told me it would be okay lied right to my face.

Maintenance is acceptable. Sometimes they come right over, other times it's a 2-3 day wait. In my move out inspection, they tried to get me to pay for damages that the previous owner's dog made to the woodwork. I talked to the previous owner before moving in, and he already paid them! In addition, there are thin walls and small closets in my building. Noise complaints got me nowhere.

If you pay for parking, be prepared to have other people park in your spot and to have nobody to call to tow it.

The prices are acceptable, but I'd rather pay more to not deal with the mangement hassles. If you have any problems, the Credit Manager is the best person to deal with locally, or call up the property owner (posted in the entry way). He lives out of state, but can probably pull strings.

Don't move here!
