Three advantages to Stevens Community include... Location- very close to downtown(about a $5 cab ride to the bars) Also close to uptown and Nicollet Mall. Reasonably priced if youre willing to put up with the riff raff and noise. The bums and gang bangers wandering the alleys and digging through dumpsters. Just yesterday I saw a guy peeing behind the dumpster while drinking a beer. Lovely. Trash is scattered out front and in the alley. People like to sit on the front step drinking beer and leaving the bottles broken on the ground and ciggarette butts everywhere.

I too also have a rodent problem despite them constantly coming into my apartment for "extermination" They arent doing a very good job of it. There are also roaches in the basement where the laundry room and storage units are. Ive never had one in my apartment (that I know of) thank god! The storage units remind me of something out of the movie Saw III... I went down there at night and there is absolutly no light in this dungeon looking room with a bunch of rickitty old doors with padlocks on them. I refuse to go alone. So scary! LoL.

Also the paint in the apartment is horrible the obviously dont care when they're doing it as they painted over everything.. door included.. white paint around the edges of my wood door isnt very attractive. The window was broken apon moving in and the cheap linoleum in the kitchen was burnt and torn up in spots.

I havent had many problems with needing to call maintenence so, Im not sure on how quickly they respond. Management is okay... slightly rude. There is one more advantage... they accept most dogs and there is a nice dog park in the middle of the community. Thats about it though. Ive talked to some who love it and a lot who hate it. My year is almost up and I am outta here!

Oh I forgot one thing.... PARKING SUCKS!!! Especially in the winter. Ladies please carry mace.
