I moved into the Stone Arch Apartments in November of 2003 when they were still new. At that time, there were many issues, as most new buildings at the time. I have read all of the reviews for Stone Arch posted previously, and I have to comment on their unfairness. Parking was an issue for a while, but that has been taken care of. The price of parking downtown has always been steep, anywhere you live. If I were to visit Laurel Village, huh, good luck finding a guest spot. Also, my lease came up for renewal, as I had arrived at a discount. My renewal letter stated that my rent would increase almost 450.00 to bring it to 'market' price. It also said, as some people convieniently left out, to feel free to contact the office to discuss. I did, and ended up being asked...what can you afford in an increase...and boom, it was done, and I'm still here. There have also been changes in staff, if you deal with the right people, they will bend over backwards for you. I will admit, there are two bad eggs, and unfortunately these women are the ones that answer the phones. The area is perfect as I walk across the Stone Arch Bridge daily to work downtown, and go running every night on the trails. Stone Arch may not be the creme de la creme of downtown living, but for the location, and price it rocks.
