I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless you want to pay $1,000 to live in a dorm. I think you can find a better mix of tenants for that price. Nothing against college students, but if I wanted to live with them, I would have enrolled at UofM.

The management staff is a nightmare to deal with. I have never gotten a call back after leaving voicemails. Karen J. is the worst. I have sent emails, and, again, been completely ignored. And don't bother visiting them in the office; they open the door and then immediately push you back out into the lobby as if you were a leper.

Once you sign the lease, you're basically screwed. They really don't care anything about you as long as you pay your rent. Have a problem' Fix it yourself.

Pet Policy' A ------- joke. You'd think they'd enforce this, but it's really just a wish-list on their part. It does nothing but mislead potential tenants into believing that they'll be living in an animal-controlled environment. They have no records of all the pets, no pictures of the pets, no proof of shots (including rabies), no $500 pet deposit for all the pets, and, worst of all, absolutely no way to enforce any of these rules (or so they claim). My dog was attacked by some dogs running freely on the front lawn. Stone Arch said there was nothing they could do without an apartment number. When I provided that to them, they said the Pet Policy only applies within the building (although the lease addendum clearly says "on the grounds"). When I complained about a tenant who lets their dog run freely down the halls and jump on my dog, it took a call to the Police to get this nut to leave me alone. And, again, Stone Arch refused to do anything about it until I supplied an apartment number, although I clearly described where this person lives and what they look like and what their dog looks like.

Their communications are a joke, too. They are constantly taping fliers to your door, asking for all kinds of silly things. 1. Some bikes were stolen from the garage! Please be more careful when you buzz complete strangers into the building. 2. Please give us your phone number for our buzzer system (hmmm...did you just lose them all'). 3. Please register your pet and pay us $500 (we're too stupid to get this when you moved in, and we have no idea who has a dog in the building so we'll just tape this to everyone's door). 4. Please come down and sign up for Qwest because the other phone and internet provider sucks, and, although we called them, they never returned our calls. Oh, you poor things. Ignored and powerless. How does it feel'

The noise is horrific, too. I have an elephant upstairs, whom I've complained about twice, and I seriously doubt that Stone Arch is doing anything about it. This jerkoff stomps around 24x7 and sometimes does jumping jacks in his kitchen for me. They pride themselves on having soundedproofed the building from external noise (it meets whatever standards exist for soundproofing a building built at an airport), but, hey they forgot about soundproofing the inside. And now I have a high-fidelity neighbor whose stereo noise comes right through my bedroom wall. This is clearly a violation of the terms of the lease you sign, but Stone Arch will do absolutely nothing to enforce these rules. They are both clueless and powerless. There is absolutely no incentive for them to solve any of these problems. As long as they get their rent, they're happy.

Anyway, thank God I only signed a six-month lease. I cannot wait to get the hell out of here.

I am tempted to just pack up and move out long before that. I doubt they'd go through the trouble of enforcing my lease and/or suing me for the remaining rent. In the meantime, I'll be contacting the Better Business Bureau and State Attorney General to complain about their Mickey Mouse operations and total inability to hold up their end of my lease.

Hey...DJ...we're waiting for you to leave, too! In fact there's a collection being taken by all te people who live on this floor to buy out your lease so you can leave sooner! Can't wait to get your daily maniac depressive, low rent butt out of here so the rest of the floor of reasonable residents can enjoy some peace and quiet. Good riddance...

this guy's rant is total out of place. Most people who live here have jobs and lives. For the locationand the quality of the building, the place rocks.
