The reason I cannot stand Tamarind and its management (although i must clarify- it was not everyone that worked there. The maintenace worker and caretaker were both very friendly and pleasant) was their unwilingness to help us when we needed a rental verification when we bought our house a year after moving out. It was a nightmare trying to get them to fill out the form. It literally almost cost us our house. They actually never did fill out the form, somehow the mortgage company got that requirement waived since Tamarind's management was so uncooperative. Our mortgage company called several times and actually got hung up on by both people in the office. I called too to ask them to fill it out. She was nice as could be on the phone and said she'd do it that day, but then never filled it out! Up until then, I had just accepted their rude, catty bahavior around the office, the fact that our water heater was only big enough for a short (5-7 minute) shower in the AM and then we'd have to wait 30 minutes until the next person could shower, the fact that all it seemed that they did all day was meddle in everyone's business and walk around like they were so much better than all of us, and instead focus on how nice the place was, how the hallways didn't smell, it was safe, quiet, neighbors were respectful (also incredibly unfriendly), etc and just try to look back on the experience fondly since it was our first apt out of college and all that. But when they refused to fill out a simple form for us, that was too much. We never paid late, never had lease violations, never caused any trouble, so we did not understand why they would be so difficult.

I would not recommend moving in to this apartment complex solely because of the management. It's definitely a nice place and the apartments are well kept, but it's not worth it because of the management. Seriously- Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
