Beware that the management team at Tamarind is completely inept, rude and manipulative. I was treated very very nicely, but as soon as the ink was dry on my lease, the tables turned. I must say that the building is well kept on the outside, but the dated appliances are a huge energy cows ($70 monthly bill for a single tenant) and hardly ever work. The Management made it clear AFTER my lease was signed that they could enter my apartment at anytime without notice (24 hours is STATE LAW) and have tracked in dirt while "entering" my unit without my knowledge on three separate occassions. I recently had major plumbing issues and was told by management when I called at 9:00pm that "I'll tell you how to turn off the water to your toilet, don't use it until I can try to get a plumber in there in a few days" (she then hung up the phone on me after saying that she owned the place and didn't care)

The caretakers are the light at the end of the dark tunnel here, but be mindful not to "break" any number of the growing addendums to your lease... and grow to love the not so friendly posted reminders about rent being due as their appear around the 20th of the month.

The location is great, management completely insane and rental rates extremely high for what you get.
