While these apartments are nice to look at, AVOID. Terrible noise problems, poor attention to fixing problems, poor-quality tenants, rude treatment by management company, among other problems. The bottom line is this place doesn't care about their tenants, only their money. The owner is great, he just needs to hire a new management company (The current one is MATCOM, and Cindy is the manager. She is also probably the coldest, most insincere, unprofessional person I've dealt with regarding housing).

I'm confused bout your safety rating because the building appears to have cameras and secured entrances everywhere. what kind of noise? in the hallway or the apartments above and below you? I'm in love with an apt there and just turned in an app... but reading this discourages me and that sucks because Ive looked at so many places and this is the only one to stick out to me! :(

Not necessarily building security - although residents would prop doors open - more so safety of the neighborhood, and safety in regards to some of the people that lived there at the time. Noise would be from the hallways, and from each unit on all sides (especially above and next to). You will learn very personal details of peoples lives... I will also say I have learned that the old management company is no longer associated with the building, and I truly hope that will improve things. Interestingly, I have friends that still live there and have moved in since I left and they have gripes, but it sounds like they are much happier since the change in management situations. I would recommend living on the third floor, or at least the second. And, you're right, I fell in love with the appearance of the apartments, too... and then was miserable with the fact that there was no effort to remediate the far too frequent problems that were caused by other tenants. Hopefully the situation has or will improve with the change in management!

I am moving in to this building relatively soon. What is the parking situation like? I am planning on just buying a MPLS permit instead of the using the lot. Thoughts?

I would recommend getting the parking pass. The lot is lite and seems to be a safer place to park your car. As far as the building, the walls, ceilings/floors are very thin... so remember that your neighbors can hear almost everything. Otherwise, the building is very nice. I just wish it was in a different neighborhood.

I love living here. It's noisy because it's the city! No one who moves in here should be surprised by sirens or other city noise. I think the management has been wonderful and helpful and just like anywhere else, it's all how you look at it. Great location, quiet and nice neighbors, clean building. I haven't had any problems here. I feel safe and comfortable here.
