I recently moved in to Uptown City at the end of July. In just a few months I have really begin to question that decision. The staff is awful, they lie about things on a daily basis. I found that my neighbor is pay 65$ less for the exact same apartment than I am and we rented within 3 days of each other. When I questioned the office the said they were running a special that day my neighbor rented, when I spoke to my neighbor he tells me that after he viewed the apartment they quoted him one price called the next day and offered him less to rent. I though I was renting an apartment not buying a used car. I should have held out a few days maybe I would have been paying less than my neighbor. Since moving here I have had water leak that buckled the fake hardwood floors, my car was broken into even though it is in an underground garage. Maybe thats because the door is always broke and open. When I asked the manager about my car being vandalized he said I should have had renters insurance which I did, but regardless that was his first and only response to the situation. Sorry to ramble but renters beware. If you want to enjoy Uptown do not and I repeat do not move to Uptown City Apartments. If you feel the need to move here look on craigslist I have my apartment up for sublease thats how bad I want out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
